A prominent figure in the Indian crypto ecosystem, Roshan Aslam is an Indian entrepreneur, and the Co-founder and CEO at GoSats, India’s first Bitcoin rewards platform that rewards users with Bitcoin every time they shop.
Roshan is an early Bitcoin adopter and enthusiast. In Jan 2014, bitcoin found and consumed him. Ever since, he has been actively involved in the blockchain/crypto space in India over the course of which he has pioneered many technologies. He is currently building GoSats, which rewards free bitcoin for shopping. With GoSats, he is on a mission to bring mainstream adoption to the crypto space, envisioning GoSats to become a default gateway to accumulate bitcoin and build a crypto ecosystem for a billion people.
After completing his engineering undergraduate degree in Electronics and Communication from Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology, he started his crypto journey by creating India’s first cryptocurrency – Saffroncoin. While at SaffronCoin, he also built CoinRecycler (The first non-custodial exchange) in 2014.
He has also worked on the interoperability of blockchains to make multiple different blockchains transact with each other in a decentralized manner.
He was hired by Unocoin, India’s largest crypto exchange to be their Chief Scientist. After a stint of 1.5 years, he joined as CTO of ThroughBit – one of the largest crypto-currency exchanges in India in 2017.
Roshan has spoken at multiple conferences across geographies on the emphasis of how crypto/blockchains will revolutionize our lives the same way the Internet has.
Towards the end of 2020, Roshan along with his sister Roshni co-founded GoSats with a vision of being the simplest Bitcoin on-ramp where users can shop and earn free Bitcoin rewards. Although there are similar competitors abroad, GoSats is the only company pioneering this in India.
